Occasionally, security guards will issue verbal warnings without, however, addressing any specific individual.
There are times in security work when it’s essential to use your voice to intervene. Psiu! (“Psst!)”, “Hey!”, “Hello!”, “Hi there!”, “Sir/Ma’am!”, “Hi!”, “Oh! Oh! Oh!” are some examples of audible alerts that are part of property security culture. Issuing a verbal warning is one of the last resorts for security personnel at museums and cultural centers. However, the act of issuing a warning is uncomfortable. Often, the violation is unintentional, which can cause discomfort for both the public and the security guard on duty.
To mitigate awkward situations, Amador e Jr. Segurança Patrimonial Ltda. introduces the Psiu! service. Our trained team will occasionally issue subtle alert sounds throughout the exhibition space to prevent violations. These sounds are never directed at any specific individual; instead, they serve as a general presence-marking measure. In this way, both security and visitor comfort are maintained in perfect harmony.
