Exhibition spaces are places of both visibility and invisibility. In many situations, the staff working there may go unnoticed.  In others, it is imperative that their actions be visible and impactful. In this case, it is necessary to use devices or tools to shift between visibility and invisibility. The guardhouse is a structure that allows for observing the space without exposure of the security guard’s physical body. In addition to shielding the employee’s body, the guardhouse creates a sense of surveillance for visitors to the space, as they imagine there might be someone inside, despite not knowing for certain.
